The Crystal Ball

While researching John William Waterhouse for my Circe Invidiosa brooch, I found I recognised so many of his paintings and came upon the story of his painting 'The Crystal Ball' and how a previous owner of the painting had a skull that was painted in by John William Waterhouse painted out, the painting has since been restored to it's original appearance. 

Hand assembled layered acrylic, painted on the etched areas with extra resin added to emphasise The Crystal Ball, with a brooch finding on rear
